Labor Unions: America's Albatross

 Since Barack Obama's election, Americans have gotten a true view of how labor unions only help themselves, while leaving the rest of us to suffer. This is not to say that the individual member is an albatross considering union membership is required for employment with some employers, but that the union leadership is. Leaders such as Richard Trumka and Andy Stern don't even try to hide their thuggish and corrupt nature. Before the election of Barack Obama, unions were a dying breed thankfully, but life was breathed back into them by their allies in Congress and the White House. You only have to look to Oregon and California to see the destructive power that labor unions have by the fact that both state governments are struggling due to the public employee unions unreasonable demands or the fact that the same Progressives such as Pelosi, Wyden, Wu, Blumenauer, Boxer and Feinstein keep getting re-elected with the help of labor unions. Why would unions do this? Let's look at Progressives. As many might think, Progressives are liberal, however, quite the opposite. Those who call themselves liberal are actually Progressives. By definition, liberal comes from the word liberation, in other words, freedom. Those who call themselves liberal believe in big government and big government intervention and therefore they are not liberal; they are Progressives. Progressivism is a mixture of socialism and Marxism, so that is where government control of banks, health care and businesses comes into play. You only have to look to Andy Stern of the SEIU and his quote "workers of the world unite.", a line taken from the Industrial Workers of the World(I.W.W.), a communist labor union. Progressives and labor unions are two peas in a pod as they are both Progressive and that is why they work in collusion and continue to hold American government hostage. Is it any surprise that unions have an exemption from the Cadillac tax in the Obama Care legislation? Why wouldn't you help a group that helps you to steal elections? How about Card Check, A.K.A., the Union Thuggery Act that will allow unions to coerce unwilling people into joining a union. How about amnesty for illegal aliens which would give the Democratic Party a block of new voters and the unions new members, which labor unions support? Americans can either allow unions to continue to run this nation into the ground and hold our government hostage or they can take back their country "through the persuasion of power."
